Children Singing Peace Around the World  (CSPAW) Composed, Created and Directed by Dawn L. Ferguson Children Singing Peace Around the World is a living prayer to heal the Earth sung with heartfelt commitment by youth and elders around the globe.  Originally composed on Mt. Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii, its message of Peace and Aloha radiates worldwide through CSPAW programs, recordings and sharing heart to heart. The Iao School Peace Team traveled to Washington, D.C. to sing Children Singing Peace Around the World on the West Lawn of the Capitol on September 11, 2002 as part of the event, "Today's Children, Tomorrow's World.	The children and their families were so committed to sharing their seeds of Aloha through this peace song, they put great effor into fundraising resulting in an entourage of nearly 50 students, parents and teachers traveling to Washington, D.C.

Dawn joined the Iao School Peace Team for this event and part of their tour of the East Coast.  They were warmly received at several local schools in Maryland and Virginia before traveling on to New York.  In New York City, they shared "Children Singing Peace Around the World", their repertoire of Hawaiian chants and planted seeds of Aloha at a public school.	Mrs. Nane Annan, on behalf of her husband, Secretary General of the U.N., came to receive a peace quilt they had made for the United Nations and then stayed to experience their complete performance.  Many were profoundl y touched by their love, warmth, dedication and generosity.

The Iao Peace Team has since been invited to sing "Children Singing Peace Around the World" at the hula bowl in Honolulu on February 1, 2003 and to travel to Australia later in the year to share with youth there.  Mahalo to all of you for your committment to being peace and living Aloha!  You are truly an inspiration to many as you bring Aloha to the world!
