Children Singing Peace Around the World (CSPAW)
Composed, Created and Directed by Dawn L. Ferguson

Children Singing Peace Around the World is a living prayer to heal the Earth sung with heartfelt commitment by youth and elders around the globe.  Originally composed on Mt. Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii, its message of Peace and Aloha radiates worldwide through CSPAW programs, recordings and heart to heart sharing.

Accomplishing the Mission - Living the Dream

  • Children Singing Peace Around the World, a composition by Dawn L. Ferguson, is a living prayer for the Earth that awakens and uplifts humanity as it is sung by children of all ages. It is a singing commitment to live peace, in harmony with one another and the environment.
  • Audio and video recordings of CSPAW sung and danced by children in thirty languages are in process and are being made available for global distribution.
  • CSPAW encourages full potential being and optimum health through international programs that focus on bringing oneness to all people through the songs, music and educational experiences of children.
  • CSPAW facilitates heart-to-heart connection between children locally and worldwide via music, art, dance, service, play and dialogue, as CSPAW is shared youth-to-youth within and among countries.
  • CSPAW creates opportunities for international and local gatherings to promote cross-cultural learning and friendships, respect for differences, appreciation of similarities and an experience of unity that celebrates diversity.
  • CSPAW programs promote reconciliation amongst all people and support the breaking of cycles of multi-generational violence.
Activities and Projects
  • Audio and video recordings  are in process.   A Volume One CD/DVD of Children Singing Peace Around the World in thirteen spoken languages and two signed languages was published and released in July, 2005.  A published single release of CSPAW Hawaiian version was released in Spring 2003 and of the original English version in 2001.  Ultimately, thirty translations will be recorded and all the productions will be designed as educational tools to be integrated in youth education worldwide.
  • Experiential learning programs have naturally evolved based on the words of the song, and are being implemented with children internationally.   These activities are currently being written up as lesson plans and collated in a teachers' workbook  to facilitate the inclusion of CSPAW materials in classroom or homeschool settings.
  • CSPAW has begun participating in and co-creating mult-national gatherings to facilitate heart to heart connections between children of different cultures.
  • A CSPAW Youth Gathering in Hawaii  celebrating the completion of the thirty recordings has been suggested with date to be determine.
