Children Singing Peace Around the World (CSPAW)

Children Singing Peace Around the World is a living prayer to heal the Earth sung with heartfelt commitment by youth and elders around the globe. Originally composed on Mt. Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii, its message of Peace and Aloha radiates worldwide through CSPAW programs, recordings and sharing heart to heart.

Philippines - Ilokano Version

As part of the Maui Filipino Centennial Celebration
honoring the Filipino immigrants (Sakadas) who first came to Hawaii,
we recorded CSPAW on Maui in the Filippino dialect most spoken in Hawaii, Ilokano.
In December, 2006 we hope to bridge to their homeland in the Philippines
where we'd like to record CSPAW in Tagalog, the most prevalent dialect in the Philippines.

Below is a photo journal of our practice sessions and the children's performance
at the opening ceremonies for the Maui Filippino Centenial Celebration.
Youth participants were all members of Dance International Productions
directed by Madelyne Pascoa on Maui.
